Hi Pam,
I was thinking about you all day yesterday wondering how things were going with the vet. I am glad to hear that you were able to visit your baby and that she was more herself and greeted you happily. I know that this is going to be a sad time but the good news is that you might be able to have a little more time to cherish your little girl. If she gets to come home, I am sure you and your husband will spoil her and make her feel extra loved. It will be hard to think about not having her around because even though they are small, our furbabies always seem to leave such a huge hole and emptiness when they are no longer there. I am so sad for your other cat as well. He is probably so confused without his buddy there. I know cats are pretty independent but he would still be affected by this loss as well. Just make sure you give him lots of love in the coming weeks. And I'm sure that sensing your sadness he will continue to comfort you as well. Animals are very perceptive like that.
Hopefully your little girl continues to eat and gets to come home soon so you can shower her with all the love that she deserves. Just remember that no matter what happens, she loves you deeply and knows that you will be able to make the best decision for her.
Keep us posted on how things are going... And don't apologize for babbling. We've all been there... so many thoughts running through your head and it's good for you to be able to talk about it.
Thinking of you...
Stephanie
