Today has been the hardest, saddest day of my life. I had to put my dog, best friend, and soul mate to rest today. Roxy was acting different the past couple of days so I decided to have the vet check her out. Turns out she had cancer in her spleen and right kidney. I opted for exploratory surgery which revealed more cancer in her liver and intestine. It was at this time I decided that putting her to rest would be the best option for her. She didn't experience any pain, maybe some discomfort from not feeling well but she ate, drank and went on walks until the very last day. I take comfort in that she was able to fully function until the bitter end.
I have never felt so empty and emotionally drained as I do right now. I miss my baby girl!
