We have had a tragic accident at our house last night and have lost our youngest chihuahua, Maggie Mae. We only had her 3 months but she bought such joy to us. My husband and I were on the upper level of the house. He went downstairs - Maggie was halfway up to be with her people. She has not ventured the stairs before last night. He stepped on her. She died immediately. My heart can't take much more. It was to the point where I was having more good days than bad after Tequila died. My husband is devestated. He knows it was an accident. He is so careful of the dogs' safety so this happening is so ironic. I don't blame him for what happened, it could have been me. She has never even tried to get up the stairs before. 4 months old and her life is over. We didn't even get to see her long hair come in.
