I wanted to tell you how sorry I am to hear about Izzy. The fact that this whole thing started so suddenly is sad because you weren't fully prepared for having to say goodbye, but it was also a blessing because your sweet baby did not have a prolonged period of suffering. I am happy to hear that Izzy passed peacefully and I know he was happy that you were there with him at that difficult time when he needed you most.
That is a very long life you shared together, although when you love your pets as much as we all do, even twenty years just doesn't seem like enough time. May your memories of good times help bring you comfort at this painful time.
We would love to hear some stories about your Izzy if you ever feel like sharing.
