Thank you for making this anniversary post. I was having a pretty gloomy day anticipating the one-year mark of losing Sam. It wasn't until I read your views on losing Poubelle that I felt a bit better about my own situation. I too think that I'm a "new" me after this loss.
I guess we're both so very lucky that we had these gifts as long as we did- Poubelle living 15 years and Sam living 13 years. So many people have lost their gifts after a much shorter time, or in more tragic ways.
I'll be thinking of you and Poubelle as the day goes on. Take care, and thank you for your thoughtful words.
