I am very sorry for the loss of your beloved Marni.
16 1/2 years...what a wonderful life you must have had together. And I know what you meant when you said you could never imagine a day without Marni in it. I felt the same way when I lost my cat Poubelle...he was almost 15, and there was that part of me that wanted to believe he'd live forever.
It is difficult to begin finding your way without your companion of so many years, but you will. It is these early days of grief that make remembering painful, but in time, the memories you have will bring you joy instead of just that horrible feeling of loss.
I am glad you found us here. We'd love to hear some of your memories when you are ready to share them...and if we can help in any way, let us know.
