Dear Louise
It's a shame that people don't understand how much a part of our families our furbabies are! It's also a shame that they don't understand that our pet's loss affects us as deeply as the loss of our 2 legged family members and that there is no "time line" for grief. I guess we should feel sorry for them because they have never experienced the wonderful, unconditional kind of love that we have with our pets.
Your Cobra sounds like such a wonderful baby! I can't imagine that he loved appliances so! Dear little soul. I can only imagine how much you and your husband, and your other kitties, must miss him.
It's always difficult in situations where a pet has died during, or as a result of, surgery. Have you spoken to your vet about how you feel about the surgery and the result and asked for more information? They may not have the answers you are seeking, Louise, but it may bring you some peace of mind. We have to put our faith and trust in our veterinarians and hope that they are doing the work they do, because they truly do love animals.
If you need to talk or think you might want to come to the meeting tomorrow, please don't hesitate to post here or to email me, ok?
Thoughts are with you,
Terry
