I can understand how you sort of want to delay putting the picture frame together. I felt that way too when I did one for Smokey. Only thing was, once I did it and placed it in a predominant spot in our house (right on the dining room wall where I could see it nearly all of the time), it gave me a sense of comfort....sort of like being closer to him. I don't know if that will be how it is for you, but wanted to share that thought with you, in the hopes it might help a little.
