I am so sorry for your loss.
The grief you are feeling right now feels like it won't ever get better, but in the way of these things, time does help. The loss will always be with you, but the memories of a lifetime of happiness together will give you comfort in the days to come.
Your Ziggy was a huge part of your life, and you will encounter memories at every corner for a long time to come. The good news is that someday the memories will make you smile, and they won't always make it hurt all over again.
My cat Poubelle has been gone almost 6 months now, and I still think I catch a glimpse of him out of the corner of my eye every once in a while...and I like to think it's his way of letting me know that he is ok, and wants me to be as well.
Your Ziggy is at peace now, and though not with you in body, will forever be with you in spirit.
