It's my understanding that the paper made in Munising has a higher value and therefore doesn't need the high volume of a typical mill to cover the cost of rail service over extensive distance from Newberry and Trout Lake.
I've heard the same thing about the L-P mill in Newberry which is also a low volume mill compared to most others.
