Indeed, U741/743 are cancelled indefinitely, but there are still four movements per day on the Marquette Range Sub between Escanaba and the LS&I.
In the mornings, the local comes out of Gladstone, works KI Sawyer, makes a setout at Partridge, makes a pickup at Queens, and then picks up at Partridge before returning to Escanaba.
Then around 4pm ET in the afternoon U745 handles the all-rail ore via a Gladstone-Eagle Mills-Partridge-Gladstone turn. Word has it that the car count was recently upped from 45 cars to 70 on U745...plus whatever clay and sodium hydroxide they've got for Tilden which rides along with the empty ore northbound - but takes the local back empty.
