Train west (south) across about 2200 hours, after waiting for Orsula to pass in the river. 1 engine in the lead, one after four cars. Once arriving at Soo Michigan yard, they put the second locomotive behind the first. After inspections by the Border Patrol and a crew change, they were off, past M28 / 9 Mile Rd at midnight:02.
#1. Presume a Soo Ont yard crew brings the train across both ways? Anyone know why?
#2. Why distributed power eastbound, but not westbound. I would guess the power is separated going across the bridges because of weight...... But why the operating difference?
