All the new ties are in from Wausaukee to the Menominee River Bridge. We started dumping ballast yesterday starting at the river and going towards Wausaukee. The ballast is coming from the Groveland Mine at Randville. The new switches are in the track at McConnell Landing for the new siding. The switches in Pembine have been replaced, the ones at Wausaukee are next. The sidings at Beecher and Amberg will be removed. I don't think all the work will be done this year; they got started too late.
The ore that is being loaded at Floodwood is coming from the Empire-Tilden mine tailings. More ore is on the ground at Sidnaw, tomorrow we take up 13 gons for loading.
More storage cars are leaving, 85 arrived in Channing today from Sidnaw. Some will go to GBay, others to the car shop and then off line. There are still quite a few to switch off of the Nestoria Branch, Most of them are between Covington and King Lake to the east of Covington. Almost all of them are going to the scrapyard.
