The cars I saw south of Lake Linden were the C&H cars used to haul the copper bearing rock from the rock houses to the stamp mills. The car bodies minus trucks were stacked 4-6? high like cord wood, I'm guessing 40 years later the number to be in the hundreds. A visit or 2 later, all gone along with the stamp mills although the massive footings for the stamps were still sticking up in the air in Hubbel. (Same building in Rob's photo with the locomotive and cars on the trestle over M-26). It was depressing to watch it all deteriorate and then get scrapped.
