The railroad keeps puttering along. Pulpwood business is steady. Thilmany Paper at McConnell Landing is putting in a wood chipper sometime this spring or summer and will be shipping out woodchips to their mill in Kaukauna, Wisconsin plus pulpwood. The LP mill at Sagola continues to be busy. They have been receiving a lot of local pulpwood by rail plus Canadian wood is starting to come thru Pembine again.
The mill at Ontonagon is gone and the land has been sold to local people. It includes 3600 feet of Lake Superior frontage so don't be surprised if it is sold off for lakefront homes.
ILSX 1338 has been leased so now we have 4 SD40-2s to work the main line and the other engines will be able to handle switching the branches and local work on the O&B and around Channing.
