Wes and D Mitchell are right! Don't let the negatives stop you from chasing your dreams. I worked as a Deputy Sheriff for 8 years a State Trooper for 2 then Finally Michigan DNR Law Enforcement Division had openings and I got in as a Michigan Conservation Officer.Had a great career....Just one thing left...actually 3 left but I did one so 2 left ill get to that later.... Hired on as a Conductor for CN then later CP. I loved sticking my head out the window on a foggy night to hear the turbo chargers on a latch up of three SOO SD-60's on a hot train going up the Mississippi river from Portage Wisconsin. I loved watching the Bald Eagles along the banks there in the winter, some we almost hit. Or snug in the cab of an AC-4400 on a siding watching the world go by with a stash of UP pasties in my grip. I made a point to wave at everyone! had a blast! but it came down to what the railroad warns you about! Just know your family life is limited so it was choice time as my assignments got further from home and when called back from furlough I just could not muster the drive to go back as I looked over a family that could use a dad home at night! Loved the job though but the family more! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! Oh yea the other two dreams #1 being the lead snare drummer out of the tunnel at the big house for the Michigan Marching Band and the other scoring an overtime goal for Michigan Hockey team in the upper right hand corner knocking the water bottle off the top of the net letting it swing on the string Winning the National Championship! Chase your dreams!
