I looked up Pequaming on Wipedia and was surprised to find that their production was loaded into box cars which were then placed onto scows and towed across the bay to Baraga where they went by rail to their destinations. When Ford acquired the operation in 9/23 it included the plant railroad which they extended to L'Anse via Ford's railroad by 2/25 which eliminated the scow. In 1935 they started trucking to L'Anse which resulted in the whole operation being shut down in 10/42 for want of tires. Anyone have any other info on this?
