Dear Greg,
I just found this video of E&LS #501 and #402 along with their respective train:

cars #5 and #8 look to have darker patches than your photos, the color possibly even being black. Whatever photos you have of the patches would be of great help on this project.
As for the 50-- series racks, I found a few photos of that type of car on the IC as a flat:

Even if the flat was available in HO, converting it to a deckless rack car and retaining enough weight to hold a 80' car down on the track through HO curves seems impossible. If anyone else has modeled one of these, your assistance would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I will be busy with the ex-BCOL and 1 ex-NAFX cars.
Thanks in Advance,

PS I can not seem to find any recent photos or reported sightings of E&LS #1222. Is it still alive, and has it received reflective striping like 1221, 1223, and 1224 have? Also, there have been no recent photos or reported sightings of #500. It had been reported by a railfan in Green Bay to be making louder howling noises than #501 under load, so did something finally give out? As long as I am typing about power, can you possibly provide an explanation for the reporting marks on this unit:

Thanks Again.
PPS The data and photo you already provided have been a great help.
