Alas, Thomas, you were born 40 years too late. If your sister had moved to the UP in the 1960's, you would have found that the region was a hotbed of railroad activity. I believe the LS&I was still operating on their own line all the way to Munising back then. There is some LS&I film footage available from those days. Andy Roth can probably tell you how to get hold of a copy of it. Below pic is from 1991.
