It varies according to loads versus empties (tonnage hauled), which engines are available at what locations, how many engines are currently not bad ordered, what they are being used for, for example, pulling storage cars requires the GP38s or SD9s because of lighter axle loadings required on the branches because of poorer track. 501 was probably pulling 141 cars because we are running out of Green Bay once a week and the interchanged cars pile up. Most of them are empty storage cars.
If you see 4 engines some of them are probably being ferried to Pembine to run across the CN to our shops at Wells.
