Here are a few shots from a trip to the LS&I last week. Not many trains were running, but I was fortunate to find a pair of U30Cs still operating two days in a row.
The 3 yard job brings empties through Palmer line Jct. led by 3004 and 3052. 5/28
HLCX SD60s 5968 & 5989 were on the 7 Yard/hill job on 5/29, seen at Forestville
The 7 Weigher job on 5/29 used the same pair of U30Cs, passing the Empire Mine at Palmer with empties in the morning...
Bringing back loads at Empire Jct in the late afternoon...
And running light at Palmer line Jct, returning to Eagle Mills at the end of the day.
The 3 Yard job used the SD60s on 5/29, passing through Palmer line Jct. with three cars.
