Took a short trip to the former Wisconsin Central stronghold of Trout Lake today. First off we found the CN 5684 sitting peacefully by itself in the small yard at Trout Lake. Only two pulpwood cars it the whole yard...
...so decided to head west young man! Soon we ran into a eastbound CN freight at Naubinway Road at MP 428...
...at Gilchrist the CN has a long line of stored freight cars, mostly box cars, heres the east end of the siding at Gilchrist...
...closer to Trout Lake the Molly Gibson Road runs alongside the CN main...
...back at Trout Lake we see the eastbound slowly continue on towards Sault Ste Marie passing the 5684 where a crew has arrived to take it west to Gladstone.
Gotta say, those first two CN units look like crap, but thats the way it is, May 31 2009
