I just read a copy of The Haywire: A history of the Manistique & Lake Superior Railroad at Saginaw Valley State University. I have always been interested in small obscure michigan railroads like it. is there anyone out there with information on the M&LS and or who may have lived near the railroad? all i really know about it for sure is it made its living by hauling pulpwood and logs. sure would make for an interesting how to model article in say model railroader or railroad model craftsman.
