Don:
Right now the income from storing cars and the car shop is keeping the railroad afloat. The current storage count is 4200. We still have some local business at Crivitz and on the Oconto Falls branch. The LP mill at Sagola is shipping OSB out, just not getting pulpwood in. Pulpwood is still moving from Triangle, Randville, and McConnell Landing, just not in the same number of cars as before. The cars from Triangle go to Sappi Paper at Cloquet, MN and the other cars go to New Page Paper in Wisconsin Rapids.
I'm still working fairly regularly as I'm high enough in seniority. I will be making my seventh start in a row tonight. We have been busy switching out storage cars and sending them to the shop. Last week it took 10- 12 hour shifts to dig out 35 cars from the Nestoria Branch. We have to pull them all the way back to Sidnaw to switch them out becasue the WC pulled up all the sidings between Sidnaw and Nestoria before they sold it to the ELS. Today we start switching out cars from the Wells line. Have to pull cars all the way from from Ralph, 17 miles.
