My memory is a little hazy after so many years, but I believe we hiked through the woods to the left of the photo to find a gentle enough slope and climb up the back side of the hill (it's pretty much a vertical rock cliff where I'm shooting from).
There's an access road to the scale (visible in the foreground) that we walked in on. It comes out to County Rd. 492 somewhere east of Morgan Creek and had a gate at the entrance. Of course this was in the days of the visitor's pass from Eagle Mills tower (discontinued since the CCI takeover); I'm not sure if I'd attempt to go back in here today.
