LS&I bird's eye view

Here's a shot of a Hill job crossing the car scale, taken from a hill above Pine Hill quarry. The scale is just out of the frame to the right, and Eagle Mills yard is about a mile down the track ahead of the train. The track swinging away to the right in the center of the photo is the WC line from Marquette, headed to Morgan siding. Tailing piles from Empire mine are visible on the horizon. Summer, 1995.
