Foreign power on WC

Here are some old slides from the Wisconsin Central days. WC was leasing some power from the Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range for a time, operating on the trains out of Marquette. DM&IR SD9 #171 and ex Algoma Central GP9 #1501 arriving at L'Anse with train L040, summer 1995. The same pair tied up on the turntable at Marquette roundhouse. #164 leads a pair of DM&IR SD9s at L'Anse, December 1995. The trailing unit still wears an early DM&IR paint scheme. The L'Anse depot. Passing the depot, heading for the hill out of town.
