Some of it still exists. My wife and I took pictures two years ago while on our honeymoon. The roundhouse was overgrown and difficult to get pictures of. The two locomotives still sit on the hill by the hoist building. There are also some tracks kind of suspended in mid air (deteriorated trestle) that run into the back of the hoist building. The tracks ran up the small grade with the trestle being visible on the left side of this photo. http://digarch.lib.mtu.edu/showbib.aspx?bib_id=610357#
The tour guide mentioned that they were used to deliver coal to power the steam hoist. It is a very interesting tour. The cog rail tram is another interesting feature. We enjoyed our tour. It was 85 degrees that day, so the mine tour was a much welcomed relief at 47 degrees.
