"Back in the day", McGrew was never a home terminal for any ROAD crews. The two crews from inbound trains FL55, FL57 out of Toledo were Walbridge crews that rested and then returned south as A396, TL54. The two crews inbound from GR, (FL14, FL16) were GR crews that rested and returned as MR13, CW15. The two Sag-Det trains, 3+ Sag-Walb trains, Sag-Carleton (CA30) and the Sag-Holly local were all home based at Saginaw. McGrew sent their yard jobs (Belt Jobs) to work customers between McG and Atwood, including the GTW interchange at Kearsley and the south end of the "old main" toward downtown. The 3 Grand Blanc jobs were billed as Road Switchers and could make runs to McGrew and Holly, if necessary -- but rarely did.
