Re: Mundy/Monday Wye?
I remember watching trains from both C&O and GTW moving across Saginaw Street downtown Flint back in the early 60's. I was 12-13 years old, and got braces on my teeth from an orthodontist that was on the 6th floor of the Mott Foundation building. His waiting room windows faced north, and when those trains would blow their horn for the downtown crossings, the sound would echo all around the buildings. I recall the C&O bridge over the Flint river near third avenue, and the GTW yard along the river just east of Harrison Street. I think that some of the Flint area dispatching for GTW was done from that office there.
