You seem to be sure about a lot of things.
In an interview I did with Gerald Maas (who was little more than the president of Grand Trunk) shortly before his untimely passing, one of the topics of conversation was the proposed abandonment of the MTC sub. Also, there was talk of trackage rights deals (including CSX) and there effects on GTW operations. Once again, although they were making some pennies on these agreements, they were NOT entirely enamoured with these. Perhaps the boss had no clue what he was talking about? Given their druthers, CSX would be gone. And no one that I have spoken with who is employed by CN has any idea at all why CSX could not run trains on the MTC sub. You'll obviously need to fill us in a bit. At any rate, I'm enjoying these conversations about how things may shake out. It's interesting to speculate. BTW, the MTC sub mileage from Milwaukee Jct. to Tappan is 53 miles...
