Biewer in McBain cuts, mills and packages dimensional lumber. Most of it goes by truck but they started shipping an occasional car by rail in the last year or two. Seems to average a car a week to a few a month, something like that.
They also ship wood chips to a paper mill in WI. 30-40 cars a month from what I hear (unconfirmed). However, when the mill in Grayling opens this traffic is supposed to be diverted there and will go by truck.
They also ship wood pulp logs occasionally but load from a team track in Cadillac rather than from the spur next to their plant in McBain.
Biewer uses the new spur to the co-generation plant for loading.
