No coal mined in Michigan. HESR has the coal contract right now for Consumers Power in Essexville. Loads are dropped off in Durand via a BNSF run thru with CN. HESR picks 'em up from there and takes them north. At one time, Dow used to use coal for their site in Midland, but I don't think that has happened for a very long time. Why there would be loaded coal cars moving back into Saginaw from Bay City seems very odd to me.
