Very interesting, it makes sense they would have some cars equipped with buffers for delivering locomotives so equipped. Went through the PRR Historical collection of flat cars with no results on buffer equipped flats. Did have a series for hauling big guns amongst other specialty equipped cars. Also quite a few for hauling plate glass.
Was Lloyd Ashley the agent?
I also find it interesting that they ran through the Cadillac crew change point. Perhaps they ran as a passenger extra. Would have paid well, somewhere in the neighborhood of 350 miles!
