I've never seen 'em westbound before. Always eastbound. I've got lots of pic's of them going east thru Davison a few years ago when I lived there. Posted 'em to this site more than once. Can't do it now due to Photobucket rules change. As for cars going around curves, seems like it would be an issue, but, the smart folks got it figured out, and for the most part, the swivel comes directly from the wheel sets, and not so much with the car it'self. And, the flats that they transport 'em on are designed (set up) so nothing on one car touches anything on another. One more thing, when these loads are in motion, the operating railroad(s) move under dimensional load orders. The numbers run from D1 to D5. The higher the number, the more restrictions are put on the movement of the loads. Some of the seasoned railroad men on this site can explain it better than I can.
