With regard to L524, I think that is the same crew that works the PH yard and switches the northern end of the MTC sub(Dunn Paper), so it would seem unlikely that they would discontinue running down to Mt. Clemens. It is my understanding that Carter lumber is expanding their distribution center there, and B&D Drywall is receiving more cars than in any previous years - so there is enough to keep them busy for now, just at a reduced frequency which is currently about four days a week. That said, I suppose that L515 could venture a bit farther north, but they have their hands very full with Polyterm and Nolan Lumber Distribution. I think time would be the enemy of going up to the northern customers at this point. The MTC sub local (600 and 505) did originate in the south for many years, but that was out of East Yard, and before the Nolan area got busy with customers. Anyway, I'm guessing that L524 stays put for now...
