Article about the industrial site which was (AFAIK) the old Burt Forest Products. They had a steep spur which crossed Felch Street and quite grown over.
I recall when I was a student there, on this board someone told me they still may get the occasional center-beam or box car. I walked the spur and looked like it hadn't seen activity in years, but was still attached to mainline. I do distinctly remember seeing evidence of a camp fire at the top of the hill between the rusted rails.
Crossing Had Adv. Warning RR symbols and x bucks attached to telephone poles.
