Yes, indeed, I remembered that location! It's the former C&O Railway bridge over Butcher Road (now State Park Road) and the Huron River, southeast of Brighton, in the Brighton Area Schools district, Island Lake State Recreation Area, Green Oak Township, Livingston County. The shot above is looking southeast. Final run of the old C&O Railway passenger trains 11, 12, 14 and 15 between Detroit FSUD and Grand Rapids, were made on April 30, 1971. I sure remembered that photo location when I was on the Chessie Steam Special in July, 1977, June, 1978 and May, 1981 and on the Bluewater MI Chapter Holland Tulip Special in May, 1988.
