Yes they do still unload the steel scrap from tower. Sometimes they unload the scrap cars from tower everynight Monday thru Friday at around 9 p.m. the train usualy arrives out in Elkton and either stops at the elevator to load up more full cars or they go directly to tower and unload the scrap cars and then take for Pigeon and Sebewaing where they switch crews with the other Saginaw train that arrives in sebewaing at roughly 11:30 each night then the bad axe crew will take the Saginaw train of empty cars back to bad axe and sometimes they will unload empty cars on the siding across from tower on the mainline on the way back to bad axe also. I know this cuz I watch them do this all the time. I am a foamer and a big fan of this line.
