I never used the feature too much, but it was also handy if you had two or three trains close behind each other moving in the same direction. If you "fleeted" signal, it would come up again the a following move as soon as the preceding train cleared the block ahead. You had to remember to knock down the fleeting after the last train to stop it from continuing to line up.
