DTE in St. Clair is in the "off" season for rail shipments of coal. Should start back up in the fall. That coal comes north on CSX to Flint, then east on CN as a CSX run through. Also, Consumers Power in Essexville shares it's coal with HESR thru Durand, and CSX thru Flint. Since CP shuttered one of its Essexville generating facilities a year ago, coal to the remaining plant has dwindled. I haven't seen loaded coal for CP go thru Flint for several months.
