To refresh everyone's memory, American Spiralweld is a two year old company that constructed a new factory on the very north end of the old Buick Complex. This company constructed large pipes for the new Port Huron to Flint waterline and for other parts of the US. The waterline is complete for now, and American Spiralweld has cut their work force way down. During the initial startup a couple of years ago, some of the pipes were made in other areas of america, and sent by rail to the Flint site. As time went on, and within the last year, inbound pipes by rail stopped. I'm happy to announce that today, as I traversed over I-475 and looked down at the rail line that runs by their plant, there was 3 or 4 gondolas spotted on their siding loaded with coil steel, or something similar. So, someone is using this commodity, be it ASW, or a new customer. I'll keep an eye on it, and report as I find anything out.
