Remember my crystal ball prediction?

Wha-halla! Last week, I posted a short paragraph or two about my crystal ball prediction that this very thing may happen. No, I didn't have any inside information. I just based my post on the fact that this is exactly what EHH does. Anyone who has followed his "rail trail" for the last 25 years can pretty much figure out that he isn't interested in maintaining branch line status rail lines, which is pretty much what the Saginaw and Plymouth subs are any more. CSX has done a pretty good job of rehabilitating the tracks around the Flint area the last 3 years. They removed the #2 main along the east side of Flint from N. Kearsley to Atwood junction. They replaced a ton of ties on main #1, and put some TLC into the North Dort Highway overpass as well. This past fall, they jointly worked over the Longway connector onto CN trackage, and CN put new ties and ballast into their track from Averill Ave to the connection of their mainline at E. Belsay. Since there hasn't been any interchange done along Longway Blvd for over 4 years, there must be some good reason that this trackage has been reworked. Of course, no one could honestly have predicted that EHH was going to take charge of CSX, but, since he struck out with his efforts to take over NS, and he has never shown any interest in KCS, CSX was about the only thing left. So, here we are, today, with a new CSX coming to a theater near you soon. Lake State RR I can assure you has probably already been in some kind of talks with EHH. It could be a great thing for them if they were to take control of the Saginaw Sub, and also the P. Huron trains. Like I said last week, there's a reason LSRR has been building up their locomotive roster.
