This picture shows another move, where the crew has already picked up the box car, and is about to pull it up to the mainline. This required some extra moves to get the box car behind the loco after pick up. You can see the old Flushing Elevator in the background. They never received any rail service during the whole time I lived there, between Jan. 1969 until August of 1984. Flushing lumber stopped rail service around the summer of 1977. My brother pulled the spur up from Main street north into the lumber company property. One more note, the building looks like one building today, but, in reality, that used to be two seperate buildings, and the spur ran between them, almost to the river.
