CN Mt Clemens Sub - CTC Upate...

Further to milw555's excellent report below, I am amazed at the rapidity with which this project has moved forward in just the past several weeks. The Pine River holdout signals are now up (heads turned away) along with the associated PTC whip and relay house, and signal bases/pedestals are springing up like mushrooms all along the line. All bases are in for the new controlled siding in Mt. Clemens, which will feature standard high masts on the main, and dwarf signals in the siding. The new CN 150' fiber communications tower is now up at MTC depot along with a huge relay/electronics house and its propane pigs and air conditioners. The once quiet GTW office is now a permanent full blown and expanded MoW base for signal maintainers and the track dept. Speaking with a signal supervisor today, I was told that they hope to have the whole CTC project operational by late summer or early autumn. These guys are moving fast. More to come...
