Some of the pictures you have posted in 'whereizit' are familiar, but they were taken before my teens so I don't remember some of them.
When my mom wanted to get rid of me for a few weeks in the summer she put me on the train at Pontiac -the old depot- and sent me to Owosso where my aunt would pick me up. Then it was on to the farm in Ovid where my cousin was a conductor for NYC and then GTW.
I'm sure you know where this is leading, bt I'm sure all of you who worked at GTW knew the latter well.
I'm not gonna tell the whole story for fear of implication.
