Yes the car was unoccupied at the time.The driver reported that the ball joint failed while crossing and went to a nearby house to make a call.A passing motorist allowed him to use the phone and well Amtrak helped him move the car outta the way.Now if he can find the ball joint to replace(along with a new car)
