At least for outstate Michigan, it's true. It's not a trade secret, even the NS crews know it. As an example, the yard job in Lansing, is now based out of Jackson, and Lansing is switched on a "HAVE to switch" basis, can't remember when they had a new customer here. Sure would be nice to see a Grand Elk, or MMRR handling the Branch. A smaller RR with an aggresive attitude, the potential customer's are here, just not the want or will by NS.
