Had the chance to stop by Durand on Tuesday. The track department was busy putting together the parts to install the new diamonds in Durand.
I do not know for sure when they are planning to install them, but by the way they were working, I'd bet a dollar or two that it's going to be real soon.
They are trying to get last minute projects done before the snow falls.
A funny thing about the GTW, and now CN....it always amazed me that they never really thought about the snow falling. They've always waited until there was snow clogging all the switches before they got around to cleaning them and getting all the ballast cleaned out from around the rods.
