LSRC's bay city yard is normally off limits. being that only the crew is in the yard, Generally LSRC wont give a release for that yard. You can call saginaw tower for a release for saginaw yard however. Bay citys yard dosen't have that much to offer and i wouldnt waste my time. (just my thoughts). There is ample places to sit near the crossing at the yard was see what you need or want to see. The train is normally out of the yard by noon and headed north from there to the HESR yard and onward to Pinconning. As jim said.. from 1 to about 10 or 11 are best for action in bay city at the Weanonna yard. you can catch the 740, 702, and LSRC 301 usually during that time. Be carefull though as the HESR yard is strictly off limits, However you can see and generally photograph everything from "public" property without a problem.
